It's nothing to do with non-citizens, and everything to do with this corrupt person (a man who made his fortune off of Medicare fraud) Rick Scott.

The beginnig of stealing the election again has begun, he is nothing but a crook, Why spend 70 mil of his own money to get elected, unles he was planning on getting it back with interest? He stole from medicaid, had to pay a 1.2 billion fine, and invoked the 5th more than 60 times during his trial, here he goes again braking federal election laws, once a crook, always a crook.

Scott is going to keep citing states rights, and that he wants to get rid of illegal voters. Well who doesn't agree with that? The problem is, he is breaking the law in his method, and his motive is highly suspect and discriminatory, not to mention that the overwhelming majority of purge victims are Democratic party voters. So don't get sucked into his talking points that he is doing the legal and correct thing. Prove there is a significant problem first, and show me how you definitively determine that a voter is not eligible. Only then should you proceed with a purge. Otherwise, the whole democratic process is put in jeopardy!

Wow, Obama and the democrats are really desperate. They are willing to use your money to buy votes from illegals.

I agree. The Democrats are using the Justice department to try to steal another election. They have already stolen California and New Mexico by allowing all kind of illegal immigrants to vote there. (That was the work of Billy Blithe (alias Bill Clinton... Blithe was his birth name.) They are currently trying to steal Arizona and Florida in an effort to steal America. That makes them criminals guilty of subversion of the nation. We are in a real war with domestic enemies who are using system fraudulently to gain power. We need to start going after them and put them in jail, no matter how high an office they have attained.

It seems to me that Gov. Scott really knows how to protect the interests of Florida citizens. How is it that more politicians don't have his common sense? What really scares me about this controversy is that by and large it's Democrats that don't like his efforts to purge illegal voters (note the word ILLEGAL). That causes one to wonder if the Democratic party realizes that illegals constitute a significant part of their base , so in this case it's OK to break the law and as Gov. Scott so eloquently put it "dilute my vote" so that members of that party can be elected regardless of where the votes come from.

I'm an Independent and would bash any party that didn't vigorously try to stop our voting system from becoming corrupted. The question is, why are mostly Democrats and the Justice Dept putting obstacles in Gov. Scott's path for doing just that, especially before illegals can sway our upcoming election? Many believe that our political system has become corrupt or inept, and here's an example of that in all its disgusting glory. Don't do what's right (legal), do whatever helps your party, be it Democrat OR Republican. We ALL should want non-Americans off our voter roles as quickly as possible and learn from Gov. Scott.

"No one is losing their right to vote," I'm just creating a bunch of unnecessary red tape for minority citizens and people in political parties I don't like to hopefully discourage them from voting.

How? You need to show your id/driver's license everywhere you go these days. Every LEGAL citizen has them. How is having to do the same to vote any harder?

Because everyone is afraid of offending someone... Bottom line.. they are criminals. They have broken the law by coming into the country without filling out the documents and going thru the processes that are in place. So what makes you think they won't break other laws when they get here. they all need deported. A total drain on the economy. But Obama feels he needs all those votes in order to stay in office. I'm glad to see a governor finally has some balls and is willing to try to put a stop to it.
