John King talks to chief business correspondent Ali Velshi on the risky trades that led to losses for the investment bank.
Your guest today (Congress woman Donna) argued about womens' rights. On one hand, she argues that the right of a woman to choose what she wants to do with her body is important (contraception) while in the same breath she argues for a woman should be paid equally because as a single mother, she has immense responsibility. I am an independent woman and if I choose to be in control of my body by not indulging in anything that would "require" me to take contraceptives. NO ONE can take that right away from me! However, if I should ever choose not to behave in a manner that would result in me having kids, I would stay strong and accountable for my own actions rather than expect someone like the govt. to provide assistance in raising my children or give me a handout – 'coz then, I would have lost my freedom to choose!!
You could certainly see your skills in the work you write. The world hopes for even more passionate writers such as you who aren't afraid to say how they believe. Always go after your heart.
What happened after the last investigation after 2008?? The investigations of JPMorgan will end up in the same round file cabinet. I bet the banks represent 70% of our GNP. If I owned 70% of something no investigation would tell me how to run it. Think about this: 11% approval rating for the past 8 months, and these men and women still have a job. They should be ashamed of themselves, they should resign, or better, be asked to leave office. Congress represents what is wrong with this country, greed, lack of morals, and lack of use of their educations, if they have any. They looK for the easy way out. Term limits ( 6yrs ) for congress and ( 6yrs ) Senate, ( 6 yrs ) president , no more no less. Think about no sitting public servant will be able to campaign , just work for the betterment of their tenure. No lobbying allowed. If you don't breath, eat, work, or complain, how can you be considered a enity or person.
