– Herman Cain showed why he is buckling down on foreign policy last night on Fox.  He didn't seem to think China was a nuclear power.

– Considering all the facts we know and the amount of settlement, I don't get the sense that the National Restaurant Association really thought Cain sexually harassed anyone.  But — and this is a big but — it is one thing to not sexually harass someone and another to withstand the victim crying in a TV camera over what happened.

– I'm in California to interview Governor Rick Perry.  I have talked to a couple of pollsters this week and surprisingly several of them think the GOP race is actually a race between Perry and Cain.  Their theory is that Mitt Romney remains at a ceiling in GOP support and if either Cain or Perry (or Gingrich as a wild card) can consolidate the race it is game over for Romney.
