Iraq seems to be slipping into chaos again following the departure of the american troops. It is very unfortunate that a relatively few misguided overzellous religious crackpots are able to terrorize and destabilize the country. Prime minister al-Malaki and his government have to take swift and decisive action and stop this course of events quickly. If Iraq misses this opportunity to prove that it is a stable and mature country and descends into a full scale sectarian war, it will take a long time before it gets another chance again, certainly not from the United states. It will prove that it has not acheived the maturity and stability of other peaceful arab countries and that they are unable to resolve their sectarian differences in a rational and civil manner. As a result, their country will sink to new lows and wallow in the morass of terror, hopelessness, destitution and civil desentegration. Iraqis deserve better than that!
