Did 'The Onion' take satire too far?

The arguement that went out that 'some people don't know that The Onion is satirical' is lame Candy. If there is this big uproar, why is it that Fox News skates free daily with it's disinformation, distortion and spin and even won a court case that they aren't required to be honest in their reporting?
Furthermore, if people are not looking at the site themselves and are duped, that's their own damned fault. Since when do the rest of us have to be treated like 3rd graders so the sheep of our nation can be coddled in their ignorance; why are we reduced to the least common denominator? Isn't that sort of some kind of information socialism?

Just three words: unfunny, dumb, insensitive.
Sorry, but no other words for this kind of "satire".

The IFC show is SO obnoxious. The articles are weak-ly entertaining at best. People arent upset because its offensive, its too dumb to be offensive...
