I don't know about Wash DC where Pres. Obama lives, but where I live our police and fireman are not paid for by the Federal Gov't but by state and local taxes( not to mention volunteers who work for no pay) which we pay in addition to federal taxes. I don't understand why he used this example to address the obvious current debate about Federal spending..not state and local
Getting out of the way is the best thing he could do to help Amcerica get back to work. Only since Jimmy Carter has one man done more harm to our economy. And his poll numbers reflect it.
