CNN's Larry King shares his memories of former First Lady Betty Ford with John King.
When the senator on your show talks about the increased taxes harming business, I think the opposite happened in the 80's. We have a low tax rate according to the rest of the world. We have businesses hiding money world wide and paying highly skilled lawyers to avoid taxes. The average person cannot have expensive tax lawyers to avoid taxes.
The same businesses reap profits from our excessive spending on wars. Why do you not counter these people with some of those facts?
As an older adult who was a professional but live on a fixed income and deal with the issues of health and other added needs, this all rings of greed. The people who would have to pay more taxes should be paying more taxes. Tax reform will come when pigs fly.
