– Democrats and the GOP are at loggerheads over the debt ceiling. The GOP wants no new tax increases, but, to be honest, Republican leaders will probably go for some tax increases if they first get serious spending cuts. Conservatives like me won't like it, but we expect it.

– With New York embracing gay marriage through the legislature, look for it to yet again be a hot button political issue. And despite what Democrats say, this is not an issue that helps them at the polls.

– The Supremes struck down a video game law that prevented stores from selling violent video games to minors. Overlooked is the Supreme Court striking down a very liberal Arizona campaign finance law. It is only a matter of time before donor caps and direct donations to candidates from corporations go by the wayside, putting the nation back to pre-1970's campaign finance rules.

– First Wish: Top Obama education adviser Juan Sepulveda openly wishes (on my radio show) that activists showed as much passion for all Latino students as they have shown for the undocumented ones – students wonder why the Administration needs more passionate Latino activists to ignore.

– Second Wish: Newt Gingrich wishes that the media would focus on the “substance” he offers more than his campaign style – the media wishes that Newt would point them in that direction of said substance.

– Third Wish: The GOP wishes that Paul Ryan had never been assigned to the House Budget Committee – the Democrats wish that the Medicare cutting champion was more famous.
