– The most interesting news this morning is of Yonathan Melaku, a lance corporal in the Marine Corps Reserve, who has been arrested for having a not quite explosive device in his car at the Pentagon and seeming to be an al Qaeda fan. Everyone should replay Newt Gingrich's statements from Monday night during the CNN debate.

– Business executives are unhappy with the Obama administration and took it out on Chief of Staff William Daley. Mentioned in the Washington Post story is a hint that small businesses may suffer tax increases.

– Republicans are still in disarray over the debt ceiling. Conservatives are trying to rally to a balanced budget amendment, but more moderate Republicans want one that will make it too easy to raise taxes.
