Be in the know: Today's political bullet points

Every day we ask influential politicos to send us their top three bullet points that are driving the day's conversation inside and outside Washington.

Senior Editor of Mario Solis-Marich:

– Voted Class Clown: Gingrich’s explanation that Tiffany’s extension to him of $250K in no-interest credit is a normal way of doing business is laughable in light of the new report that Tiffany’s heavily lobbied the Congressional committee his wife worked for.

– Stood Up for Prom: Republicans are dressed for 2012 but have nowhere to go as American voters leave them in droves because of their stand on Medicare cuts.

– Cootie Boy: The Obama Administrations “Secure Communities“ deportation program has become a pariah in many local races including the Denver’s Mayors race where Democrat Chris Romer is actively running against it.

RedState.Com Editor Erick-Woods Erickson:

– It wasn't the controversial one, but the U.S. Supreme Court upheld one of Arizona's immigration laws. The justices' discussion of the definition of licenses could potentially have an impact on the future marriage decisions.

– Will John Boehner keep the House in session? The Democrats want to go on recess, but the GOP wants to block recess appointments. We'll see.

– Senate Republicans are whipping their colleagues to shut down Rand Paul's amendments to the Patriot Act, but continue to stay silent on the Paul Ryan budget. So much for leadership.
