– The changing nature of the bin Laden story is normal in situations like this, but the White House's scrambling and confusion perpetuates the theme that they're amateurs.

– Here's what we know now: information came through enhanced interrogation techniques, the NSA used warrantless wiretaps, we caught the "lynchpin" of the operation in Iraq, and one of the reasons it took us so long to find bin Laden is that he fell off the grid after a lawsuit in American courts revealed how we were monitoring him. I guess there was a method to the Bush/Cheney madness after all.
