Be in the know: Today's political bullet points

Every day we ask influential politicos to send us their top three bullet points that are driving the day's conversation inside and outside Washington.

RedState.Com Editor Erick-Woods Erickson:

– Barack Obama will speak today, doing so primarily because Rep. Paul Ryan came out with a substantive plan garnering praise from the Deficit Commission that Obama created then chose to ignore. He is yet again following instead of leading, but the ridiculous White House spin is that he meant to do this all along. Yeah, and I've got a bridge to sell you.

– Republican House members are more and more disgusted with the Friday compromise, but will probably still pass it. That will just militarize them against the debt ceiling.

– Conservatives are keeping an eye on the Texas Senate primary. Michael Williams' fundraising did not match Ted Cruz, but most conservatives still consider Williams' their guy because they've been with him so long. Some, however, will start considering a move.
