– From a rebuttal to President Obama: "Of the 30+ rigs operating in the Gulf of Mexico at the time of the Deepwater Horizon tragedy, 7+ have left due to lack of permits. Seahawk Drilling declared bankruptcy due to the inability to obtain permits." Not exactly firing on all cylinders.

– Gov. Bobby Jindal unveiled his budget in Louisiana today. He is balancing his budget without raising taxes or cutting education. He wants to privatize several prisons.

– House Republicans are risking an internal fight over their latest short term Continuing Resolution. Conservatives are not happy.
