From RedState.Com Editor Erick-Woods Erickson:
Greg Sargent took offense at something I posted on this blog yesterday because it shorthanded a longer argument I made on Red State. Here’s what happened:
Two days ago on Twitter, Washington Post reporter Greg Sargent wrote, "Dear union thugs: Will you please get violent in Wisconsin already? Pretty please?" I wrote about his comment at RedState then delved more into the business of reporters taking people out of context for political points, leading to an additional post on the use of sarcasm, context, and Sargent's tweet for union violence.
Editor’s Note: The blog is a place for a freewheeling exchange of ideas and opinions. CNN does not endorse anything said by its contributors
When you (Erick Erickson) write about these issues, how much do you acknowledge your own background of violent rhetoric, about whether you will "pull out my wife's shotgun and see how that little ACS twerp likes being scared at the door" or folks should "get off the couch, march down to their state legislator’s house, pull him outside, and beat him to a bloody pulp"?
Why do the democrats get away with all of the name-calling and leave when things do not go their way? Why doesn't the media and President Obama condemn their tactics? It seems news coverage is very one-sided these days. Also heard the demostrators are creating a pig-sty in Wisconsin. Any truth to that? I would not be surprised.
