Be in the know: Today's political bullet points

Everyday we ask influential politicos to send us their top three bullet points that are driving the day's conversation in and outside Washington:

Any TGIF greeting today must be tempered by the sluggish jobs data in the latest government unemployment report. Yes, the economy is adding jobs. But at an anemic pace, so the unemployment rate stays at 9.6 percent and those projections of high unemployment through 2014 are sadly gaining more credibility. There are a lot of negative ads and debates to come in the final days of the campaign, but this limping economy is and will remain the major force in the midterms. On to the bullet points: Jane in points two and three takes issue with the GOP’s budget math and one of its rising stars. In blocking that tunnel project, Gov. Christie is applying what he sees as the political lessons of the Massachusetts “Big Dig” financing problems. Erick’s No. 1 is part of the right’s focus on a potential Democratic blunder in the CA governor’s race, and his No. 2 underscores the role of the economy in our politics, now and always. Enjoy the weekend. – John King

RedState.Com Editor Erick-Woods Erickson:

– Why do feminist groups give passes to Democrats who call Republican women whores?

– The jobs numbers will not help the Democrats. At least in 1994 the economy had mostly recovered by October and unemployment had dropped significantly.

– Charlie Crist cannot throw a baseball.

Does Time Warner, Inc. the world's second largest entertainment conglomerate, consisting of TIME MAGAZINE, CNN
NEWS, HBO, WARNER BROS.; etc. have a strategy for electing republicans in November? Yes, they do! Let them explain it!
Let me give you some little hints. The unpaid commerical for O'Donnel on the Larry King Show 10/7/10. Totally out of place.
Disrespecting the President of the United States. They do not give any credit to the President where much is deserved. They just bash
in a more subtle way than Rush Limbaugh! CNN News started the strategy with the week long bashing of the Government with
the program called "Broken Government." Wolf Blitzer has Jack Cafferty to do his bashing . Read more internet free press.

He's not dead YET?? :)Brian, your cpencot of "partisan" is laughable. If anything, CNN would be the LEAST "partisan" of all the cable news networks.Fox has been on the decline and I somehow don't see Snow at MSNBC, so what's the most logical alternative?Do YOU "partisans" fear you might, one day, need to come out of the regressive media ghetto you have created for yourselves, and actually place yourselves into an environment where you'd be expected to function with some level of journalistic integrity?
