Be in the know: Today's political bullet points

Editor's note: Occasionally we will ask influential politicos to send us their top three bullet points that are driving the day's conversation in and outside Washington.

Talk Show Host and Online Editor of MyLatinoNews.com Mario Solis-Marich:

– Classic Rock Stars: The NAACP shows it still has cultural clout as first Tea Party leader is “expelled” due to race based blog post.

– Cover Band: Spoke-Folks of CO Senator Michael Bennet recently caught voting to kill a consumer credit card cap before voting for the dead bill say it’s the thought that counts, leaving voters to ask: which thought?

– Karaoke: CO GOP Gov. hopeful and admitted “author” of 300K worth of plagiarized prose, Scott McInnis, stays in race – much to the joy of Rocky Mountain State Democrats.

RedState.Com Editor Erick-Woods Erickson:

– It's panic time in Washington for the Democrats. The clock has run out and now they are trying to figure out who will be what in the minority. Will Clyburn stay as Whip? Will Pelosi stay as Leader? What about Hoyer? Schadenfreude is delightful.

– One "House Democratic aide" offered this delightful assessment of Obamacare to Roll Call: "Members are particularly eager to tout passage of financial reform in their districts because, unlike health care, the public recognizes that it won’t suffer under it." Makes a great line for the GOP to use.

– Republicans should filibuster Kagan, but they won't. Instead they'll attack the Tea Party movement.
