John King at the Magic Wall shows you what it looks like on the ground in Syria as President Bashar al-Assad cracks down.
Russia and China on Saturday vetoed a United Nations Security Council resolution on Saturday condemning the Syrian government’s crackdown on protests for the second time. At the meeting in Manhattan, 13 countries voted for the resolution proposed by European and Arab nations that gave strong support to an Arab League plan to end the crackdown and call for President Bashar al-Assad to step aside. But Russia and China both vetoed the measure.
A new UN proposal for POTUS and Secretary Clinton on how to solve the Syrian Civil War without US troops.
As per the Saturday vote Russia and China are opposing any attempt to remove Assad and for any UN interference as it wants to show and exercise their muscle as world powers to be reckoned with. Additionally, Russia has a naval base in Syrian and many economic interests such as arms sales and investment in tourism.
Solution the US should propose at the Security Council that Russian and Chinese troops be sent to Syria as UN peacekeepers to stop the civil war.
One vote with many solutions and no US Troops. A real easy solution that no one should object to. It may not remove Assad but it should stop the violence.
The Russians and Chinese will find it difficult to refuse and Assad will find it difficult to object. If the Russians and Chinese fail to stop the violence, then the UN can recall them.

To Respond to Jack Cafferty's rquest for comment on the payroll tax deduction
Sent TO POTUS AND CONGRESS
This letter could be the PERMANENT COMPROMISE SOLUTIONS that POTUS and Congress need for the payroll tax reduction and reduction of the national debt that should be revenue neutral and acceptable on a bi-partisan basis. It also has many other benefits for the American People.
Congress needs to correct what is wrong with our HIDDEN ALTERNATIVE MINIMUM TAX – The only tax which is graduated downward. As of now any person earning a million dollars ($1,000,000) is taxed at 1/10th the tax rate that a person who earns between $10,000 to even $100,000. You guessed it is the Social Security tax.
THE PERMANENT COMPROMISE BIPARTISAN REVENUE NEUTRAL SOLUTION:
Here is how we can fix this inequity and solve many other related problems.
Reduce the Social Security rate to 2.50% on the first $400,000 and then to 3.25% on excess over $400,000 WITH NO TOP CAP for employer and employee.
The Taxation of Social Security benefits would be changed for all future SSA beneficiaries to be tax free until the taxpayer's cost contributed has been recovered by the SSA -Taxpayer beneficiary. The same way most pension benefits are presently taxed. Any unrecovered tax cost basis would be transferred to a surviving spouse. Additionally unrecovered tax cost basis upon death of either spouse could be used as a tax credit for estate tax purposes. After the death of the surviving spouse any unrecovered tax cost basis if not applied to estate tax would be extinguished. This provision may need to be phased in and applied to new and future SSA beneficiaries.
THESE CHANGES MAY ACTUALLY BE REVENUE NEUTRAL AND NOT REQUIRE ANY TAX APPROPRIATIONS TO PAY FOR them.
More money in most taxpayers pockets for their consumer spending and lowering the labor payroll tax costs of all businesses -including small businesses.
I have other, but not required, optional changes that could be included with the above proposed permanent compromise solutions:
