Be in the know: Today's political bullet points

Every day we ask influential politicos to send us their top three bullet points that are driving the day's conversation inside and outside Washington.

RedState.Com Editor Erick-Woods Erickson:

- I'm hearing more and more from Republicans on Capitol Hill that the President's press conference did more harm than good and really solidified the GOP to fight.

- The Democrats are starting to claim the 14th Amendment makes the debt ceiling irrelevant. If they make that argument, it would be the equivalent of going nuclear. It would also be a dubious argument.

- The highly dysfunctional 6th Circuit Court of Appeals just affirmed the constitutionality of the individual mandate in “Obamacare.” Today, the same circuit declared that the people of the several states may not vote to end affirmative action programs through the democratic process. Not exactly a way to make the people feel good about the federal courts.
