With so many perplexing questions out there, we are turning to you for the answers. Each week, John King, USA asks you to weigh in on a hot debate and then air the best Make Your Case videos on Friday. Last week’s question was “Are you angry with your government? If so, why?”
Jason Asselin from Iron Mountain, Michigan submitted his video on iReport: “Why do I not like my government? There are so many reasons I don’t know even know where to start. taxes number one. If the government needs more money for any sort of project, they just tax just throw another tax on there.”
Cedric Lawson from Newtonville, Massachusetts told CNN, “Government has taken over things that they've never had control over in the past and it seems like us as Americans don't have the choice, or freedom of choice to deal with issues that are rising.”
Soudi from Bethesda, Maryland felt, “the Democratic Party isn't taking advantage of their majority in the house and senate. They're playing softball with the republicans they should be playing hardball.”
Gregory Moss from Wilmington, South Carolina said government wants “more of my tax dollars to be used for means that I don't really want them spent for as well as having my constitution what I believe to be torn up and start over from the beginning. We live in the greatest nation in the world why change what we have when it works perfectly well?”
Anna Clare Allen from Greensboro, North Carolina told John King, USA, “My frustration is that the Republican party seems to be determined to say nothing but no to everything.”
And Rudy Lucidi from Yorba Linda, California said, “Its sort of frustrating when you think that these are some of our most intelligent people and they cant make a decision. For example they didn't even read the health plan and they're voting on it. What’s the deal with that?”
